I HAD A DREAM....

            As a teenager I had one of those vivid dreams which showed me the future for this location and that it would at some point loose it's 4 tracks..... funny things happen!!
47227 approaches Chester and is about to pass under the city walls circa August 1982. I'm pretty sure the date is right as the loco had lost it's front painted number by 1983 and by the end of that year it had received a high intensity light fitting.
This bridge had been a happy location for me as my gran used to take me for walks to and later I would trainspot steam from here. As a teenager I would often walk home from school in Handbridge and cross this bridge and then over the lock gates on the Shropshire Union canal-
