66740 and 73969 with 1Y11 Sleeper. Horseshoe Curve - West Highlands. 22nd Sept 2022

            On the damp early morning of September the 22nd 2022 after a night of heavy rainfall ,66740 pilots 73969 on a six coach Fort William portion of the Caledonian Sleeper. Having detached from the Aberdeen and Inverness bound portions from London Euston at Edinburgh Waverly, this train runs forward as 1Y11, the 04:50 to Fort William. Here the train has slowed to walking pace to cross the second of two viaducts, this one over Allt Kinglass whilst traversing the Horsehoe Curve below County March summit between Tyndrum Upper and Bridge of Orchy stations. The train will turn sharply west immediately after crossing the viaduct onto the lower flank of Beinn Dorain.
