Bach - a photo on Flickriver

Today we commemorate the 270th year of death of the great Johann Sebastian Bach.
He was born on 31 March, or 21 March, according to different calendar convention at that times, 1685, and died on 28 July 1750. He was a German composer and musician of the Baroque period. He is known for instrumental compositions such as the Brandenburg Concertos and the Goldberg Variations, and for vocal music such as the St Matthew Passion and the Mass in B minor. Since the 19th-century Bach Revival he has been generally regarded as one of the greatest composers of all time. (from Wikipedia).

I agree, he is in the Olympus of the Gods of Music, and he must sit on the Center of it.
I know that there is no image that pays tribute to his music, but Le château de Chambord in France was already built (1519–1547) when he was born.
Maybe my favorite piece of music of Johann Sebastian Bach is the Brandenburg Concerto, BWV 1050.2 (formerly 1050) for harpsichord, flute and violin as soloists, and an orchestral accompaniment consisting of strings and continuo, known as the Brandenburg Concerto No. 5.
