Heart of Orchard Road – Aerial View from ION Sky

Offering an unrivalled 360-degree view from the highest point at Orchard Road, ION Sky is located on levels 55 and 56 of The Orchard Residences which stands at an impressive 218 metres high above ION Orchard.

This shot here is rather challenging. First you have to beat the reflections from the interior lights and shooting through the glass tends to loose some sharpness. Trees came out almost black. "Topazlab Adjust" plug-in helps to get the details out from the dark areas. I used 2 shots to patch reflected areas. To minimize reflection I hold a black cloth spread out behind the camera to prevent lights from behind reflecting onto the glass. Trigger with self timer.
