            The Cathedral 
of Saint Mary of the See, better known as Seville Cathedral, is a Roman Catholic cathedral in Seville (Andalusia, Spain). It was registered in 1987 by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site, along with the adjoining Alcázar palace complex and the General Archive of the Indies. 
After its completion in the early 16th century, Seville Cathedral supplanted Hagia Sophia as the largest cathedral in the world, a title the Byzantine church had held for nearly a thousand years. It is the third-largest church in the world as well as the largest Gothic church. Since the world's two largest churches, the Basilica of the National Shrine of Our Lady of Aparecida and St. Peter's Basilica, are not the seats of bishops Seville Cathedral is still the largest cathedral in the world.

La Catedral 
de Santa María de la Sede, más conocida como la Catedral de Sevilla, es una catedral católica en Sevilla (Andalucía, España). Fue registrado en 1987 por la UNESCO como Patrimonio de la Humanidad, junto con el complejo contiguo del palacio Alcázar y el Archivo General de Indias.
Después de su finalización a principios del siglo XVI, la Catedral de Sevilla suplantó a Hagia Sophia como la catedral más grande del mundo, un título que la iglesia bizantina había tenido durante casi mil años. Es la tercera iglesia más grande del mundo, así como la iglesia gótica más grande. Dado que las dos iglesias más grandes del mundo, la Basílica del Santuario Nacional de Nuestra Señora de Aparecida y la Basílica de San Pedro, no son las sedes de los obispos, la Catedral de Sevilla sigue siendo la catedral más grande del mundo.
