            Space Telefónica Foundation for Architecture + Moneo Brock Studio

The Espacio Fundación Telefónica is part of the Telefónica building's comprehensive rehabilitation project, located on the central Gran Vía street, which represents aesthetic and functional renovation of this emblematic skyscraper (1926-1929), considered one of the jewels of architecture Of early 20th century in Madrid.
The proposal for the creation of the Espacio Fundación Telefónica is based on a constructive sincerity that returns the building to its original state, recovering its architectural values both at the formal (original construction and aesthetic) and conceptual levels, recalling its primary use as a center of Equipment and telecommunications network of the first automatic telephone exchange in Spain.

El Espacio Fundación Telefónica forma parte del proyecto de rehabilitación integral del edificio de Telefónica, localizado en la céntrica calle de la Gran Vía que supone una renovación estética y funcional de este emblemático rascacielos (1926-1929), considerado una de las joyas de la arquitectura de principios del siglo XX en Madrid.

La propuesta para la creación del Espacio Fundación Telefónica , parte de una sinceridad constructiva que devuelve el edificio a su estado original, recuperando sus valores arquitectónicos tanto a nivel formal (sistema constructivo y estética original), como conceptual, recordando su uso primario como centro de equipamiento y red de telecomunicaciones de la primera central automática de telefonía en España.
