1/43 Ford Transit Minibus City of London Police

            This is a converted Greenlight model which came in frozen white as a panel van. I stripped it down before repainting dark blue. The bonnet presented its own challenge, the real vehicles have them vinyl wrapped in fluorescent yellow. In the end I decided to spray paint the bonnet to achieve the best finish which required a lot of masking tape! 

The model has custom made battenburg livery, it includes the new design City of London Police door crests and Twitter logos on the rear quarter panels. Across the rear doors is the unusual text of ‘City Police’ in red. 

On the roof is an adapted 2D Models light bar, repainted and with a clear middle section, again to give the appearance of what’s on the real vehicle. I’ve also added the smaller emergency lights to the sides of the number plate, front grill and above the rear doors. 

The model is a replica of EN21 ZPO.
