Violet sky with orange mists in the trees on Mt Tam.

            Yes, it really looked like this! The post-rain mists rising from the trees still glowed golden red, while twilight sky went slightly lavender. The Pacific Ocean can be seen out beyond the low clouds. During the Blue hour, but not its typical color palette.  The sun was 6.8 degrees below the horizon, twenty-three minutes after sunset. Seen from the lower reaches of Pantoll Road, just above Panoramic Highway, in Mt Tamalpais State Park, Marin County, California.
