SF Skyline and Bay Bridge at dusk - a photo on Flickriver

            Both spans of the San Francisco–Oakland Bay Bridge are seen in this view from the Oakland Hills.  The modern, self-anchored suspension portion curves through the foreground as it heads into the tunnel through Yerba Buena Island. The lights of the older double suspension span almost blend into the sparking lights of downtown San Francisco. The top nine floors of the Salesforce Tower (the electronic sculpture "Day for Night") coincidentally lines up with distant clouds of darker orange. 

The sun was 7.4 degrees below the horizon, at the start of Nautical Twilight, about 37 minutes after sunset. The tide was quite low, -0.6 feet, so the exposed mud along the shore was shiny, reflecting the lingering orange of the faded sunset. Seen from Grizzly Peak Blvd. in the Oakland hills. The trees silhouetted in the foreground grow along Norfolk Road, Oakland.
