Whitburn II: The Revenge - a photo on Flickriver

Decided to attempt Whitburn again this week. Made it down to the arch, thanks to the retreating tide, but was somewhat underwhelmed when I saw it in the flesh - I can see why you need an ultra-wide lens to make it look spectacular.

The lighting was very flat, but the rocks were interesting, so I got in nice and close - a little too close! I was up to my knees at one point, wading around in the sea, trying to rescue my filter pouch and backpack, which were bobbing around in the water, about to get pulled back out to sea!
