2010-06-28bb Lines and curves

London's Heron Tower (110 Bishopsgate), reflected in the blue glass of the Gherkin (30 St Mary Axe).

Built on the former sites of the Baltic Exchange and Chamber of Shipping, both demolished following the 1992 IRA bombing, the egg-like Gherkin was completed in 2003 and stands at 180m high. It is one of the most recognisable examples of modern architecture in London
