Last call on the High Line - New York City

            On the High Line Park: The High Line was an elevated railway for freight transportation from midtown (42nd and 34th streets) to the meatpacking district (W14th street) .  It was abandoned in the 1950s and was almost demolished in the 1980s but was saved due to the high cost required for the demolition! 

It was redesigned as an urban park and opened in 2009. The park is now lined with high end apartments that are changing this formerly working class neighborhood, turning it into one of the most expensive sections of Manhattan.
