World Famous Viaduct on the Longford GP Racetrack in 1950's and 1960's, this viaduct was shown to the world on Race day. Can only be Viewed from Illawarra Highway, Illawarra Tasmania, Australia.

            Much of the track is still in place, some still being used, like the Flying Mile ( Pateena Road ) ( Some of Tannery Road, Union Street, Illawarra Highway ), but the two bridges over the South Esk River have been gone a long time. Fifty years ago John Youl and friends opened a new track at nearby Simmons Plains, that these days holds the biggest sporting event in Tasmania. The 3rd round of the Supercars Championship.
