_LNG1530 Red-shouldered Hawk [Buteo lineatus]

            This fellow was looking at me from just outside my window today, as I started a new project (not photography).  

In Native American cultures the hawk represents a messenger. It often appears in our life when we need to pay attention to the subtle messages found in our surroundings and from those we come in contact with.
If Hawk has flown into your life; be aware that there is a message to be received and interpreted. Hawk holds the key to higher consciousness and trying to bring certain things into your circle of awareness. Know that enlightenment is imminent.

This bird of prey often represents the ability to see meaning in ordinary experiences if you choose to become more observant.
Many of the messages this bird brings you are about freeing yourself of thoughts and beliefs that are limiting your ability to soar above your life and gain a greater perspective that will allow you to flourish. 
Hawks have the skill to move between the seen and unseen realms gracefully connecting both worlds. Their acute vision and discriminating nature keep them out of harms way. The broader vision of the hawk allows them to see what the future holds. In man this symbolizes prophetic insight. If this is undeveloped, a tendency towards over analyzing can prevent clear vision.
The hawk in their pursuit of prey will swiftly thwart efforts to escape. This suggests that we can run but we cannot hide from our destiny which is to awaken from spiritual amnesia and realign with the intention of the soul. When the hawk flies into our life we are being asked to enable our inner truth to surface.
Hawk signifies union with Great Spirit and encourages the changes necessary for spiritual growth. When you feel the presence of the hawk, avoid distractions and focus on the task at hand.
Hawks soar and fly high in the sky, providing support in gaining a higher level perspective on any issue or project. When the hawk appears in your life, it’s time to be less distracted by details and focus on higher perspectives. Rely on the hawk's power to see what’s ahead and defy any obstacles.
