Palace pier - a photo on Flickriver

Palace pier

            Since when did Flickr become such a horrible place to be.  Full of people who feel the need to send me horrible messages because they assume I rejected an image from a group?  Or about how they feel their image has been in the queue for half an hour and that is apparently 'too long'.

Why aren't Flickr doing anything about the small minority of glory hunting, supposed 'street photographers' out there who feel the need to send my 14 year old boy abusive messages and detailed and long critical essays (that he hasn't asked for) about why his one photo submitted to their stupid groups is not deemed 'good enough' and as such they feel it necessary to ban my 14 year old boy who has just a few pics on his photostream, all of which are extremely good and are a million percent better than anything I took at that age, from their stupid groups?  Well done to those people because you have made a 14 year old cry and now he's refusing to upload any more pictures.  Looking at some of those groups as well, they are full of garbage, blurred and off topic posts that I would not even class as 'street photography' (pictures of cars etc) yet his picture gets rejected and he is the subject of a vile and critical commentary about why the admin does not like it calling his picture 'rubbish' and 'off topic'.  And it really does take a lot to upset my boy.

Why is this happening?  Since when did people get so rude to others on Flickr?  When did people start judging their own photos against other people's and feel the need to be so vile towards one another?  There are enough problems in the world right now.  

Have spent this whole morning banning several people from my groups who felt it necessary to send my son horrible messages just because his pictures were not deemed 'good enough' for their pathetic glory hunting street photography groups.  For those people, you need to get lives.  

Be interesting to know from others why this is happening all of a sudden.  Or if anyone even gives a shit.
