Big Daddy - a photo on Flickriver

Big Daddy

            This is the name of the highest sand dune near the Deadvlei ....a white salt pan with dead bare tree scattered around and  flanked by many sand dunes ......it is not far from  a place called Sossusvlei. The height of Big Daddy is 300m ( 1000ft ).

This is also the most photographed place in Namibia.

View enlarge and you could see climbers taking the more difficult approach up Big Daddy rather than taking the long but not so steep approach from the left by walking along the edge of the dune.
