NORJAC 0291 - a photo on Flickriver

NORJAC 0291

            Northern Jacana, Jacana spinosa, 9.5 in. Very RARE visitor from Mexico to water habitats with dense, emergent vegetation.   

I have heard that this mat of floating foliage may be Seep Monkeyflower, Common Yellow Monkeyflower, Erythranthe guttata. However all the images of this plant from my research show leaves with serrated edges.
