Olive Woodpecker (Dendropicos griseocephalus)

This is a bit of a tribute post. This female, along with the male I posted not too long ago, had young chicks in that nest and this morning I went across to check on them after a week and found her dead below the nest. The nest was also silent so I presume the chicks didn't make it either. Sad, I was really looking forward to seeing the fledglings. That's nature I guess.
