In the trunk of a Cadillac illegally parked on Lower Wacker Dr., police found the body of William "Action" Jackson. Jackson, a member of the Chicago Outfit, had been interrogated by the FBI in 1961. Jackson refused to cooperate with the feds and remained loyal to the mob. The Outfit, however, was convinced that Jackson was a rat. They hung him alive on a meat hook and tortured him to death for three days before he expired.
