Traffic Build up at Manningtree - a photo on Flickriver

            A typical scene at Manningtree during the morning and evening rush hour with big traffic build ups due to the LC Barriers being down and only cars being able to get under the narrow single lane bridge. According to the local newspaper the proposed new Maintenance depot at Brantham is in doubt due to even more delay to road traffic due to the increase in train movements on and off the new depot. With no plan in sight by the local authority to do anything about the antiquated infrastructure (traffic lights have been mentioned!) lets us hope  despite the money already spent the depot gets the chop.
