            Le rouge-gorge est un nom vernaculaire donné à plusieurs oiseaux Passeriformes en raison de la couleur rouge du plumage de leur poitrail. Ces espèces ne sont apparentées que de loin. En Europe, le terme fait plus particulièrement référence à Erithacus rubecula, mais il y a aussi un rouge-gorge en Amérique. L'orthographe rouge-gorge(s) est préférée par le Centre national de ressources textuelles et lexicales, mais la Commission internationale des noms français des oiseaux utilise l'orthographe rougegorge(s).
