La base de la tour est percée d'un portail ogival surmonté d'un tympan figurant saint Michel entouré de saint Sébastien, saint Christophe, saint Georges et saint Géry (Gaugericus) qui, selon la légende, éleva une chapelle qui serait à l'origine de la ville de Bruxelles.
Le tympan, les statues et les culs-de-lampe ne datent pas de l'époque gothique mais des restaurations du XIXe siècle.

A day in Brussels with a visit to the Museum of Illusion, with Émy, Noah and Tom.

The base of the tower is pierced by an ogival portal surmounted by a tympanum depicting Saint Michael surrounded by Saint Sebastian, Saint Christopher, Saint George and Saint Géry (Gaugericus) who, according to legend, erected a chapel which would be at the origin of the city of Brussels.
The tympanum, the statues and the culs-de-lampe do not date from the Gothic period but from the restorations of the 19th century.
