Comet c/2022 E3 (13 Jan 23) - a photo on Flickriver

Comet c/2022 E3 (13 Jan 23)

            Taken 13 Jan under moderate moonlight. Nikon d7100, Nikkor 180mm F/2.8 @ f/2.8, cropped, iso 3200, 25x45s (~20 minutes integrated time), Orion Sirius EQ Mount, Oracle, Arizona. post-process using PixInsight, Lightroom, Photoshop. Comet was moving >8 arcmins / hour! The moon is ~30 arcmins (1/2 a degree) for scale.

Conditions will improve as the comet heads towards the earth (1 Feb) and moonlight diminishes during the next 2 weeks. One thing to consider is that by the end of January, the comet will be moving ~a moon's diameter in 2 hours. Short exposures are a must and will be a challenge!!!
