Til Death do us Part, Forrest Lakes, Arizona, USA, (explore 27Jan 23)

This is a sad story. A week prior to me taking this picture I read an article in the local paper about someone shooting wild horses in Arizona. There have been many articles on this matter over the years. This has been going on for years and they haven't caught the person or monster doing this. He or they have shot and killed many horses over the years and wounded many more and left them to die. So I took a drive to that area to see what I could see. I saw these two horses of a group of about 20 or so. The horse on the ground never did get up or move for about an hour that I was there. And the horse standing by its side never left. I believe the horse laying on the ground was shot and is wounded and its mate would not leave. I watched them for almost an hour while the other horses were grazing and I didn't seem to spook them at all, so sad but a story I wanted to tell you about. Oh by the way they are watching deer that were grazing in the distance :) I didn't seem to bother them :)
