Wyoming Yard Circa-1950

            Not really, but the equipment present certainly added to the illusion. Pere Marquette #1225 and caboose #A909 are in position for the night photo session that will shortly commence for members of the Pere Marquette Historical Society. #1225 is "blacked out" (no white trim) and appears as it did nearing the end of its service life on the C&O. By 1950 it and its sisters were true C&O locomotives, but the N1s and N2s were never re-lettered due to the rules surrounding their equipment trusts. #1225 was retired by the end of 1951 and sent to the deadline in New Buffalo, C&O having fully dieselized the PM.
