The Swiss Army had 220 of the first and second series K+W Pz 68 main battle tank in use. They were developed and built in Switzerland. Compared to the Pz 68 of the third and fourth series, it has a slightly smaller tower. His Chassis is 6.9m long (with Cannon in march position 8.57m). Width 3.14m, height with guyed antennas 3.65m. Crew 4 man. Armament: 10.5cm cannon with 56 rounds of ammunition, 2x 7.5mm machine gun with 5400 rounds of ammunition,  7.1 cm lighthouse grenade launcher with 12 projectiles and 8cm launcher with 11 projectiles. Main engine MTU MB 837 Ba-500, 8-cylinder V90° four-stroke diesel with a capacity of 660hp. Auxiliary engine MB OM 636 VI E, 4 cylinder Inline diesel with 38hp. Maximum speed 55km/h. Weight 39 tons. Decommissioned in 1999.

El ejército suizo tenía 220 de la primera y segunda serie K W Pz 68 tanque de batalla principal en uso. Fueron desarrollados y construidos en Suiza. En comparación con el Pz 68 de la tercera y cuarta serie, tiene una torre un poco más pequeña. Su chasis tiene 6,9m de largo (con Cannon en posición de marcha 8.57m). Ancho 3.14m, altura con antenas bajadas 3.65m. Tripulación 4 hombre. Armamento: cañón de 10,5cm con 56 rondas de municiones, ametralladora 2x 7,5mm con 5400 rondas de municiones, lanzagranadas faro de 7,1cm con 12 proyectiles y lanzador de 8cm con 11 proyectiles. Motor principal MTU MB 837 Ba-500, 8 cilindros V90 ° diesel de cuatro tiempos con una capacidad de 660CV. Motor auxiliar MB OM 636 VI E, 4 cilindros diesel en línea con 38CV. Velocidad máxima de 55km/h. Peso 39t. Desarmado en 1999.

Gegenüber dem Pz 68 der dritten und vierten Serie hat er einen etwas kleineren Turm. Sein Chassis ist 6.9m lang (mit Kanone in Marschlage 8.57m). Breite 3.14m, Höhe mit abgespannten Antennen 3.65m. Besatzung 4 Mann. Bewaffnung: 10.5cm Kanone mit 56 Schuss Munition, 2x 7.5mm MG mit 5400 Schuss Munition, dazu Leuchtgranatwerfer 7.1cm mit 12 Geschossen und Nebelwerfer 8cm mit 11 Geschossen. Der Hauptmotor MTU MB 837 Ba-500, 8 Zylinder V90° Viertakt Diesel mit einer Leistung von 660PS. Hilfsmotor MB OM 636 VI E, 4 Zyl. Reihenmotor Diesel mit 38PS. Höchstgeschwindigkeit 55km/h. Gewicht 39t. Ausserdienststellung im Jahre 1999.
