Dark Digswell Duchess (by Drone) - a photo on Flickriver

            This probably isn't going to win any photographic awards but I think it still works...not bad for a first attempt after umpteen months of no droning! 

LMS 6233 "Duchess of Sutherland" builds up a tremendous head of steam after being held at a red signal before the ECML's most notorious, yet elegant, bottleneck - Digswell Viaduct (also of this parish as Welwyn Viaduct). 
The Princess Coronation Class 4-6-2 Pacific locomotive was at the head of 1Z80, the Railway Touring Company's "Christmas White Rose" tour from London King's Cross to York.

This was taken on a very dull and borderline foggy winter morning, so the ISO had to be almost maximised to get any sort of decent shot!
