And now for something a bit different.......

Last month myself and fire performer / model Popsicle spent a couple of hours in a Swindon park taking a variety of shots including quite a few like this. We got a few strange looks wandering through the park carrying a large can of paraffin and all the equipment but I think we got some eye-catching shots.

I've tried this kind of photography a few times now with the LightpainterUK London meetups. As great as those meetups are it was fantastic not having to share the performer with twenty other photographers....... Popsicle is one of a number of Purpleport models that I've now shot with on a 'time for print' basis and it's a great way to experiment with genres of photography a bit outside your normal comfort zones.
