Hillside Acres Milky Way - a photo on Flickriver

This is the iconic Hillside Acres Farm, located in the aptly named rural town of Barnet, Vermont. The bright object to the left of the core of the Milky Way is the planet Mars, which according to NASA, is the closest it has been to Earth since 2003. The photo was taken just as the moon was setting in the west, providing some nice light on the farm.

There was a deer watching me the whole time I was there. You may be able to see it if you zoom in max, about half way down from the left silo to the bottom edge of the photo.
