Hoods in the neighborhood - a photo on Flickriver

            A dip into the b&w archives finds Class 52 no. 1053 "Western Patriarch" in charge of a china clay at the beautiful Cornish station that is Lostwithiel on 14th July 1975. By this time toting a couple of cameras I elected to snap this in mono - and when the 52 bowled around the corner immediately regretted not opting for the colour slide instead!  

Just spent an hour trying to remove all the scratches and spots and managed around 90% before losing patience and calling it a day. Shot on FP4 and developed in Acutol.
