Engine 794 - a photo on Flickriver

Engine 794

This shot was hastily grabbed using my compact while in San Antonio a few weeks ago. On looking at it, I discovered that I had left the white balance set on tungsten after doing some photoflood-lit product shots at work the day before. This, however, gave me an excuse to desaturate it and play with the image a bit. Photomatix brought out some of the texture detail and local dodge and burn in Lightroom 2 did the rest.

Hopefully this image looks to you as it does on my left monitor since my right one looks terribly washed out. I really hope Santa brings me that monitor calibration unit :-)
