Golden morning mist - a photo on Flickriver

            Our second night in the Backcountry of Glacier National Park was extremely wet (the thunderstorms of that night actually caused the Sprague Fire, shutting down the park for a week and some regions for the rest of the summer). When we first peeked our heads out of our tent we couldn't even see the tops of the trees but (as often) as soon as the sun came around the fog slowly disappeared. So I was just standing at the shore of Bowman Lake and watching the sun rise behind the continental divide. A magical morning!

The scenery and light was changing so fast that I keeping up with the conditions and changing lenses and settings were a little challenging to my tiered feet before haven drunk even a little bit of coffee :)

Handheld Panorama of seven or eight photos in portrait orientation. Nikon D800 and AF-S Nikkor 24-120/f - quite a versatile combination to be honest!
