            I am so desperate for a cure for my back that doesn't involve another cortisone shot or, worse, surgery, that I spent $270 on a pair of hideous frickin' shoes.  That's right, these shoes that look like they're to be worn only by zombie droolers, psychopaths, and very, very old people were almost three hundred bucks.

I have worn them all day.  I have watched the DVD.  And I am determined that they make a difference that the yoga ball and knee chair and the exercises and the traction and the electrical stimulation and the heat and the ice and the ultrasound and the pills and the pills and the pills have yet to make.
