011•365 • Toast • 31 Dec 08 - a photo on Flickriver

My beautiful Shawn on the last day of 2008.

This photo was inspired by two 365 pool members:

• "Mindysea" and her D Day self portrait.

• "one pic a day" and his 50mm f/1.0 images. This is with my Nikon 50mm f/1.4 shot wide open. I've done a fair amount of work at wide open apertures, but generally only when low lighting conditions or art director required it.

• A toast to Shawn's D Day, after two years her divorce is final.

• A toast to our journey, together, as a family and the three girls I've grown to love more than the sky (as our girls say).
