Rùm from An Sgùrr, Eigg - a photo on Flickriver

Olympus OM1, Ektachrome 64 (self-processed), scanned, development in Lightroom including 'dehazeing'. Ageing of the film is very evident; it is clear that my original (chemical) processing was suboptimal, although my memory is that the slides were just fine 40 years ago. The result, however, is not without its charm.

An Sgùrr is formed of a resistant pitchstone lava in the form of hexagonal columns, prominent following the erosion of surrounding softer rock.

Looking roughly NNW; Rùm is about 10km distant.
