            3-Day Salt Flat & Desert Adventure from Uyuni

Embarked on an expedition in a 4x4 Toyota Land Cruiser to explore the Uyuni Salt Flat, area deserts, local villages, multi-colored lakes with flamingos, geysers, thermal hot-springs, the Galaxia Caves, and more on this 3-day, one-way, guided adventure from Uyuni, Bolivia to San Pedro de Atacama in Chile. 

Guide, private transportation, accommodation, meals, and border crossing assistance included.

Day 1: (L/D) At 10:30 a.m., visited Uyuni's train graveyard to see the first locomotives in Bolivia, then visit the small settlement of Colchani to see handicrafts made of salt and textile art made of llama and alpaca fiber. 

Then stopped at a hotel made from salt, which currentl y operates as a museum. After lunch and hiking, head to our hostel in Culpina (private bathroom and bedroom). 

Day 2: (B/L/D)After breakfast at 7 a.m.Continue to colorful Andean lagoons inhabited by flamingos, then enter the Eduardo Avaroa National Reserve to visited the Desert of Siloli at 15,000 feet (4,550 meters) to take a photo next to the Rock Tree. 

Later, stopped at an overlook near Red Lagoon to see more flamingos in their natural habitat and admire the intense red-colored lake before continuing to Huayllajara Village  for the night. 

Day 3: (B) At 4:30 a.m., visited the Sol de Mañana Geyser at 16,000 feet (5,000 meters) then walked next to fumaroles and steaming craters filled with boiling pots of mud. 

Continue to outdoor hot springs and relaxed in the naturally-heated water that reaches 95 Fº (35 Cº). Explored the Dali Desert and the Green Lagoon before crossing the border into Chile and changing vehicles so our local driver could take us to the San Pedro de Atacama, passing beautiful scenery along the way.
