Tadano AR-1200M Mobile Crane 01 - a photo on Flickriver

            Japanese 120 t mobile crane Tadano AR-1200M in scale 1:15.625 (24 studs = 3.0m).
Operator of the original Crane is Japanese Showa Co., Ltd. of Kobe.

The model features 16 remote controlled functions using LEGO Technic Power Functions.

Furthermore there are manual functions like openable doors on the crane carrier's cab, a sliding door on the cab in the upper structure and a two-stage extendible swing-away jib with adjustable angle.

All five axles are live axles with trailing links and triangular control arms (axles 1, 2, 4 and 5) or panhard rod (axle 3).

Steering of the first three axles and independent steering of the last two axles allows for four different steering modes:

- Front wheel steering (road travel)
- All-wheel steering (for tight cornering)
- Crab steering (transverse movenent)
- Rear wheel steering (backing up)
