Blue Top Classic

            Whilst the DC-8 and Boeing 707 were essentially long-haul airliners, just about every western European carrier brought them into Heathrow on a daily basis. I assume the aircraft could often fly off to a distance city at suitable times - long haul flights often feature an extended layover to make arrival and departure times more convenient.

PH-DCS was a Douglas DC-8-55CF, being new in 1964, was passed to Phillipine Airlines in 1977 and latterly spent its time with various African airlines until being scrapped in 2003.
