A Hunter of Many Guises - a photo on Flickriver

            A well presented Hunter F.51 is now displayed at Chineham, near Basingstoke.

It is outside the offices of Centrerprise International, a company founded by Rafi Razzak. So why the Hunter, and in Iraqi marks?

Well, his father was Arif Azzak, also born in Iraq who commanded several Royal Iraqi Air Force types, culminating in the Hunter. He later served in government and briefly served as Prime Minister in 1965.

This particular aircraft was built for Denmark as E-408, but was returned to the UK and stored at Dunsfold in the 70s in the hope it could be delivered to a new customer following a refurbishment - a process that had been successfully achieved in the preceding years.

As it happened, no such buyer materialised, so instead it became a static exhibit at RAF Brawdy, RAF Cranwell, RAF Sealand and later to a private buyer in Lincolnshire until 2016.
