Kumartuli, Kolkata, India - a photo on Flickriver

            In Kumartuli, the traditional potter's quarter, where colourful idols of deities are made from clay and plaster. Here on the last days before Durga Puja, the biggest festival in Kolkata. A Ganesha idol is transported out of the narrow alleys of Kumartuli for distribution to temples or stages throughout Kolkata and nearby provinces.
