Death rays

13/10/2012; I have a bit of an inner jukebox that has the tendency to associate songs to certain happenings or situations, and I had to think of this song straight away when I saw that collection of spotlights on top of the Ku'Damm Karree. :D

Anywho, this is the last shot I made during the 2012 edition of the Festival of Lights in Berlin. And I have learned and/or have been reminded of the fact that Berlin is a big city, even when you take public transport to go to pretty much everywhere. And the Festival of Lights has well over 60 projects, spread out over a big area in the Berlin city centre. In the 4 days / 3 evenings I was in Berlin, I don't think I have seen half of them.

I figured as much already that I surely won't be able to see all projects, however I'm still bummed out that I missed out on for example the Wächter der Zeit (and nope, that tour schedule wasn't on there before the Festival of Lights was going on |-( ).

And although Mark and I were at Tempelhof airport during the afternoon, it turned out something was going on over there at night as well...

On top of that, we were actually walking in the same street as where you could find the PBC TronBike, but we didn't see that bike at all... :S Even though now I see the building in that same street picture where the bike was standing in front of. Doh! XD

I am tempted to go back to Berlin to check on the Festival of Lights again next year, but I am certainly going for a day or 2 longer, and I'm probably going in the second weekend of the event instead of in the first. At least that gives me some time to peak on what's all out there, so I won't miss out on this many cool projects again.
