St Louis Shortline - a photo on Flickriver

St Louis Shortline

            Starting with my first road trip in 1983 my buddy and I endeavored to make an annual trip to a new location. We lived in Southern California and our first trip was to Denver in 1983 followed by Kansas City in 1984. The trip to KC in 84 also included an across Missouri drive to visit St Louis. In doing so we added a few cool roads to our list of railroad subjects. One of which included the Manfacturers Railway. See here crossing one of the many interstates in the downtown area. A tid bit I never realized until I scanned this photo is the St Louis Arch is in the background of this photo.
