Birmingham bus @ The Grove, Handsworth - 1931

An old original amateur photograph (just 3" x 2") taken in 1931 at The Grove terminus (junction of Grove Lane and Church Lane), Handsworth, of Birmingham Corporation Tramways (BCT) bus fleet No. 175 (registration OP204) showing '11 - Outer Circle' destination blinds.

'Birmingham Corporation Tramways' was renamed 'Birmingham Corporation Tramway and Omnibus Department' in 1927, then 'Birmingham City Transport' in 1937.

No. 175 was new to BCT in 1926 and comprised an AEC 504 chassis No. 504097 and a Short Bros. body seating 52 (H26/26RO). It was withdrawn from service in 1935 and is shown as becoming Corporation service vehicle No. 45, I have no details for it after this.
