Hungry Osprey | Eye Contact | Pandion haliaetus

            While out on the river in the early evening looking for the ever elusive Belted Kingfisher, this mighty Osprey was spotted in the distance.  Lucky for me, this awesome rapture not only flew in my direction, but ended up flying right over top of me.  I managed to get a burst of shots off resulting in a pretty cool vantage point.   On the back of the camera, I knew this was a pretty sharp shot, however, it wasn't until reviewing this image on my desk top monitor that I realized that at that moment (however brief it may have been), we locked eyes.  Thanks for stopping.
