petirrojo europeo (erithacus rubecula) - European Robin

            Curiosidades : El petirrojo europeo está considerado “De interés especial” en el Catálogo Nacional de Especies Amenazadas. El aumento del tamaño poblacional registrado en los últimos años puede deberse a la reforestación y “matorralización” natural, fruto del abandono del campo. No obstante, como otras muchas especies insectívoras, este pájaro se está viendo afectado por la generalización de los tratamientos químicos para eliminar la vegetación competidora en los olivares, un hábitat muy favorable para la invernada de millones de aves.
