Der Bahnhof mit dem drolligen Namen Hasenbergl im gleichnamigen Stadtteil des Münchner Nordens wurde von den Architekten Braun, Hesselberger und Partner in Zusammenarbeit mit dem U-Bahn-Referat gestaltet. Die Lichtplanung stammt von Lichtdesign Kramer. Eröffnung war am 26. Oktober 1996.
Die säulenlose Bahnteighalle ist mit hellgrauem Granitboden ausgelegt, der im mittleren Bereich von vier Reihen dunklerer Dreiecke aufgelockert wird. Die Hintergleiswände bestehen aus großen Glasplatten, die mit Glasflies aus Glasfasern hinterlegt sind und damit einen Teil des Lichts reflektieren. In der Mitte des Bahnsteigs ist diese Glasfront auf beiden Bahnsteigseiten von einer großen Spiegelfläche unterbrochen. Mittendurch geht das rote Linienband, das ebenfalls aus Glasflächen besteht.
Der eigentlich herausragende Teil des Bahnhofs ist aber die linsenförmige Reflektorkonstruktion an der Decke der hohen Bahnsteighalle. Wie bei einigen anderen neueren Bahnhöfen auch wird hier durch indirekte Beleuchtung eine sehr gleichmäßige Verteilung des Lichtes ermöglicht, dunkle Ecken gibt es nicht. Über dem Reflektorschirm sowie im oberen Teil der Wände wurden die Betonflächen dunkelblau gestrichen, um die Aufmerksamkeit ganz auf die beschriebenen Gestaltungselemente zu legen.

The Hasenbergl station in the district of the same name in the North of Munich was designed by the architects Braun, Hesselberger und Partner in collaboration with the subway department. Opening was on 26. 1 October 1996 The columnless railway hall is designed with light grey granite floor, which is loosened in the middle of four rows of darker triangles. The rear track walls consist of large glass panels, which are deposited with glass fibre tiles and thus reflect some of the light. In the middle of the platform, this glass front on both sides of the platform is interrupted by a large mirror surface. In the middle goes the red line strip, which also consists of glass surfaces. However, the really outstanding part of the station is the lens-shaped reflector construction on the ceiling of the high platform hall.
