Monumento aos Heróis de Laguna e Dourados

            This monument in Rio de Janeiro was created in 1938, to "honour the heroes of Laguna and Dourados", two episodes of the Paraguayan War.

This monument is 15 m tall and made of granite and bronze. The bronze came from old cannons, that were melted and turned into these statues.
