Birthday Haiku - a photo on Flickriver

Birthday Haiku

            I'm staying stuck on beach long exposures still, but it was Wynn Bullock's birthday so I went looking (without success) for some sea palms I'd seen.  A quick lo-fi phone edit because I wanted to get this up on the actual day.

This was done by light painting the waves well after sunset.  Started 8 second exposure, could see the waves coming in the dark just well enough to hit the rock with a flashlight on impact, then a quick stroke of light across the crest of the wave as it entered the shallows.
