Red Beauties - a photo on Flickriver

Red Beauties

            The flowers of many plants often get all the glory.
Sometimes though, the leaves are just as glorious and showy as their flowers, as see here in this particular variety of Coral Bells. I believe it is the 'Georgia Peach' cultivar of the perennial Heuchera sanguinea plant, though that is only an educated guess.

This is the natural version of yesterday's artistic rendering. I suspect most viewers will prefer the natural image here, but everyone has their preference. I love both. Otherwise I would not post both of them :)

Interestingly, this image was captured with my long birding lens, proving that creative uses of our lenses can have surprising and satisfying results!
