A Hint Of The Devine: Wood Anemone - a photo on Flickriver

            The humble wood anemone is a small, obscure plant, down on the forest floor, and one of the first of the spring ephemerals to emerge.

To make this image I used my Lensbaby Velvet 56 lens and Pentax K1 camera.  It is a manual lens and I shoot between f/5.6 and f1.8 hand held.  

Every morning I walk the same route with my dog through the woods behind the house and look for wildflower photo opportunities.  I could use a regular macro lens, but I like the artistic results of the images, but it has taken some time for me to learn how to use this Lensbaby lens.
